-
- I clarified before what I meant by that statement. If the Amiga's only
- mass marketer was Wal-Mart, than the image of the Amiga as a serious
- computer (as opposed to, say, a game machine) would be damaged. At
- the time that was written, Chris hadn't mentioned any other options.
- Now he has, and he and I both have clarified our earlier statements.

- J> policies, more than we ever got from C= !
-
- And the fact that in many places they have a captive market doesn't
- enter into it at all. And what does it say about the caliber of
- Wal-Mart employees when you can't spell "competitive" correctly?
-
- J> I will leave my image of KMart outta this ; - )
-
- Well, the word "horrendous" comes to mind immediately. I totally agree
- with you on that.
-
- J> Wal-Mart is not either an appliance store, but by selling toasters
- J> they are not ruining the image of the company that made the toaster, nor
- J> are they ruing the image of IBM, Apple, Sony, Panasonic.. etc...
-
- It does ruin it in my mind, which is all I said in the first place.
-
- J> Wal-Mart carrying amiga's would provide over 2000 places to get
- J> Amiga's and hardware, and to actually take them back to if we have
- J> problems, and not get screwed!
-
- And the fact that employees hold Nuremberg rallies every morning
- goose-stepping in front of a picture of Sam Walton provides such a
- wonderful image for the future of the Amiga. I wonder if they've
- completed that shrine where Sam's mummified body will be on display in
- Bentonville yet.
-
- I know from reliable sources that Bentonville hired at least one
- detective to check out all us meat inspectors in the Chicago area. I
- have a file down in Bentonville containing that information. The point
- is, I don't want the Amiga sold through a corporation that I see as
- fascistic and not willing to abide by the law. Again, just my opinion,
- Jason.
